Dr. Martin Luther King Day

I think our lovely BcB readers are all well informed enough to understand the impact of the Civil Rights Movement and Dr. Martin Luther King’s legacy on the Asian American Progressive Movement. So I wish you all a great MLK Day weekend with the greatest speech ever written:

And now that you’ve watching Dr. King’s speech, I’m sure you’re having a strong urge to give back to the community, especially on Monday, January 18, 2010, right?  If so, take a look at MLKDay.gov and see where you can volunteer for the MLK Day of Service. The site has an easy to use search/map feature that’ll find you a volunteer opportunity right in your neighborhood! Send AzN a tweet if you wanna plant some trees in West Oakland on Monday!
